Cake balls

I have been making tons of cake balls for different events and I have heard many times, what is a cake ball? For those who haven't had the change to taste one, you are missing something!

Cake balls are bite-size bits of moist cake blended with frosting and cover with candy melt or chocolate bark. It is a twist on cupcakes and an excellent alternative for a dessert. They are beautiful, they are delicious, they are just IN. You can make them in different flavors, shapes, colors and designs. They look pretty, but they taste better!

Tres leches cupcakes

I am always craving something. This time a "Pastel de las tres Leches " (three milk cake). This is one of my favorite cakes. It is also very popular in Mexico.
I decided to make only half the recipe (so, I don't eat all) and with a little twist, I made instead of one cake bunch of cupcakes. I love mine very moist. You will see in the pictures how the milks come out the bread. I topped them with homemade whip cream and pieces of mango. I know they loaded with calories, but they were just really GOOD.

Chloe's 4th birthday

Our family from Belgium visited us in DC two weeks ago and on that weekend our niece, Chloe, was celebrating her 4ht birthday. I jumped on the opportunity to celebrate with her and make her feel special. By the way, she is an adorable girl.

I styled a birthday table using pink and blue colors. I baked a fun cake (three different color layers) and chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I arranged some candy treats and snacks . I set a pretty table for the kids and of course we had favor bags full of fun stuff. My two kids and Chloe enjoyed every single detail it was on the table. They cut and served themselves the cake, they tried and destroyed everything. It was just FUN!

Orange Wine Tasting Bridal Shower

I was very happy to help a good friend of mine to stylish some details for a Wine Tasting Bridal Shower in orange. I created some wine and cheese tags, a corsage for the bride-to-be and some cake balls.

Back to School Play Date

It has been long time since I was here writing about my festas. I took some time off from blogging to dedicate 100 % to my family. It was worth it and much needed.

Summer is over and kids are back to school . I thought a Back to School Play Date it would a good way to start the school year.

We invited few of my children class mates and their moms. I don't have pictures of the event because I couldn't handle being the host, the mom and the photographer.

I arrange a pretty table for the kids with red flowers, notebooks, pencils & apples. I set a simple snack bar with pretzels, m&m's, marshmallows, raisins, etc. The kids had fun fixing their own snack. The moms had lunch, coffee and good time. I am looking forward for another getting together with all of them soon.
