My Mother's Day celebration

I celebrated Mother's Day with a small group of friends. I wanted a simple stress-free event, no cooking and washing dishes, but at the same time something chic and tasty. I came with the idea of a salad bar full of vegetables, meats and delicious dressings.

Between laughs, good food and wine you can't go wrong. Thank you ladies for sharing such a delightful night.

Mexican friends you celebrate tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day!

These bands were given to the moms according to their personality and character. It was a fun activity.

For dessert we had chocolate truffle cake, cookies and apple pie.

Real Festa: Fire Truck and Stars Birthday Party

Another Festa to share:
This time we celebrated Tomas 3rd birthday with a Fire Truck and Stars Theme party. The big event took place in a local Fire Station. We had the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the Station, a presentation of how the fire men get ready for a call. The kids climbed the trucks and spent some time with the braves firemen. It was fun for the kids and for the parents, too.

I created a dessert table inspired in a vintage fire truck and stars. I included cupcakes, chocolate cake, cups of fruit, cookies on a stick and some candies all using the matching colors: red, beige and brown.
The guest tables where decorated with some wooden cars holding balloons on paper stars .

Congratutalions to Tomas' parents, Fernanda and Josh. The party was fun fun. Good job.

Real Festa: Elmo's birthday Party

A good friend of mine, AnaLya, asked me for a dessert table for her son Nicolas's 2nd birthday celebration.
It was a great party. Kids had a blast. They enjoyed jumping in the bouncy castle, decorating cookies, playing games and enjoyed the puppet show.
Congratulations AnaLya and Nicolas, the celebrations was great and of course, thank you for letting Festa be part of it.

I chose red and aqua colors to match the "Elmo" theme and style a small table with some treats: small cake for the candle, cupcakes, krispies, m&m's and pretzels.

Real Festa. Star Wars

I am posting some pictures from this past weekend FESTA: Sean's Star Wars birthday party. I was told the kids had so much fun, loved the treats and enjoyed an amazing slide ( I never saw something that big, how fun!!! I wish I had the change to try it, but anyway..here some details.

This was the birthday banner made from felt and gold string.

Matching banner for the cupcakes stand.

The cupcakes were vanilla on vanilla.

I personalized them with the birthday boy's name, the age , Stars Wars logo and a fun character ring.

The cookies I mentioned before in cellophane bags with matching color ribbons.

I presented them in these white containers.

For goodie bags, we arranged black bags with a sticker that read "Thank you for coming to my 7th birthday bash". The lucky guests received a Star Wars t-shirt, some candies and...

a light saber!

***Special thanks to Sean's mom. Love working with her!

Real Festa. Bakugan's Party on the planning.

I started to put Joseph's birthday ideas in paper. I am choosing red, navy and pool blue for the colors and I promised him I won't forget to have his Bakugans in mind. I am planning on having an outdoor celebration in our backyard. Hopefully, the weather will stay this way to keep the plan going. I would like to focus this time in the fun. I am having a bunch of 5 year olds I have to entertain. I want games, prizes, stations and fun food. I haven't decided details, but I will post details when time comes. I want Joseph to have the best time of his life.

Camila and Simona's Royal Celebration

I apologize for being away for so long. I got busy working on the Royal Celebration we had this past Saturday. Camila & Simona had their birthday party and I have great pictures to share!

To follow the original plan for this festa (my old post). I combined white table clothes and different yellows on the cups, plates, napkins and straws for the table decor. I used gold chocolate coins, yellow star lollipops and princess paper wands, I actually made, for center pieces. The boys chairs had knight capes in red and silver and the girls had yellow foamy crowns.
We had a table with crafts where they got to decorate those crowns and color some princess printouts.

I designed this dessert table for the special day which included chocolate cupcake pops, cake balls, marshmallows, golden oreo cookies and candies following in yellow and white colors.

The cupcakes had a little twist of color, a "forbidden rose". Instead of a banner, I used gold paper letters for the girls' names on the cupcake stand.

I thought it would be attractive for the girls to have a "Belle" Barbie on the table. But, of course, one of the birthday girls, Simona, couldn't resist not playing with princess Belle. So, we only got Belle in a few shots.

I arranged two special cupcakes for the birthday girls.

It read "treats especially for you, Camila and Simona" in the paper bags the guest filled with their favorite sweets.

Royal Apple Juice was given for the thirsty little Princesses and Knights.

We offered healthy snacks as veggies with ranch.

For lunch, we set a Hot Dog Bar with a variety of toppings.

The kids had so much fun, they had lots of candies and treats from the pinata, the Beauty and the Beast show from the Puppet Co. was very entertaining, all the kids left with inflatable sword...amazing party!

*I would like to thank Marina and Patricio for trusting FESTA! Love working with people like them that love entertaining as much as I do.

Thomas the Tank Engine Birthday party

I got few pictures of Nico's Thomas the Tank Engine 2nd Birthday party. I made few things to decorate the cake table like the paper banner, a sign that said "choo choo Nico is two! I made some turquoise cake pops and fix some jars with colorful candies. I made some paper plates for the hot dogs and little "Yummy flag". It was a fun party, but I don't want to get all the credit for it. Her mom, good friend of mine, worked hard. She had a bouncy castle, a train to ride, pinata (by the way, it was the first time I experience a Colombian style pinata...the one you pull a string, no hitting with a stick???...anyway...) she also prepared lots of crafts and games. Did I mention she is a excellent photographer...well, she sent me pictures of the few details I helped with. Thank you Andrea!
